Plaza Cleaners and Tailors has been family owned and operated by the Blathras family since 1985. Built on a strong commitment to customer service, the business focuses on providing expert garment care with attention to detail, quality, and years of experience.
The company was founded by Leonidas Blathras and his wife, Parthena, whose dedication to craftsmanship and care set the standard that continues today. In 2017, their sons, Kosta and Michael, took over the business, proudly continuing the family tradition and bringing the same values and careful attention to every garment.

Lead Seamstress Our lead seamstress is a highly skilled bridal alterations specialist with over 30 years of experience tailoring designer wedding gowns. She previously served as lead seamstress at some of Boston’s most respected bridal boutiques, including Vera Wang Boston, L’Elite, and Musette. Known for her exceptional precision and couture-level craftsmanship, she brings a meticulous, personalized approach to every gown, ensuring each bride experiences a flawless fit and an elevated, unforgettable result.
Loan
Alterations Specialist & Designer With a BFA in Fashion Design and over 20 years of industry experience, Kristina brings a distinguished background from couture design houses in NYC, where she specialized in design, production, and sample making. Her experience also includes bridal and eveningwear styling on Newbury Street. She leads our appointment-only tailoring services, delivering custom design solutions, expert finishing, and meticulous quality oversight across tailoring and dry cleaning, ensuring each client receives an exceptional, white-glove experience from start to finish.
Kristina
Tailor A specialist in men’s tailoring and bespoke suit construction, Loay brings over 40 years of experience to his craft. Known for his exceptional craftsmanship and sharp eye for detail, he is a trusted expert in tailored menswear. Loay is available by appointment upon request only, as he works off-site.
